These crops require fast-acting lactic acid bacteria to quickly lower pH, prevent spoilage, and maintain aerobic stability when the silo is opened.
With its advanced five-strain bacterial blend, REVO-Sile Maize & Sorghum ensures efficient fermentation, superior nutrient preservation, and enhanced silage stability, delivering high-quality, consistent forage for optimal livestock performance.
The process begins with fast-acting lactic acid bacteria that rapidly lower pH, preventing spoilage and locking in nutrients. As fermentation progresses, additional lactic acid-producing strains take over to sustain and stabilize the fermentation process. To ensure long-term aerobic stability, a specialized acetic acid-producing strain is introduced, balancing lactic and acetic acid levels to prevent spoilage upon silo opening and during feed-out. Finally, Bacillus licheniformis plays a key role in breaking down complex plant fibers, improving nutrient availability and digestibility for livestock.
